Local elections were held in Spain on 13 June 1999 to elect all 65,201 councillors in the 8,104 Spanish municipalities, all 1,187 provincial seats in 41 provinces and 198 seats in ten island councils. They were held concurrently with regional elections in thirteen autonomous communities, as well as the 1999 European Parliament election.
